FLOWER 36- THE GENTLE ART OF CHOKIN´ s/t After releasing two convincing split 7inches in 2006/2007, this is what i would call the straight and consistent advancement of the Hamburg/Bremen based four-piece. The Gentle Art returns with a new guitar player and an onslaught of 13 new tunes in less than 12 minutes. Starting off with a torpedo-like thrash attack they’re well known for, they leave the caved fastcore-path every now and then, turning into more complex riffing and casual heavy breakdowns, just followed by their established hacksaw stop and go blast-parts. While 80’s thrash is still on the map and the whole powerviolence thing kept at the back of one’s mind, their range of influences seems to broaden, and that’s what The Gentle Art Of Chokin’ is definitely in line with! Yup, the old GRAVITY or EBULLITION school! The vocalist sometimes sounds like Andreas from ABC DIABOLO. Double 7″ with 22 min. playtime. |  |

FLOWER 13- STACK – Konkret Lichtgeschwindigkeit 10″ / Complete Discography CD (splitrel. w/ six weeks + scorched earth policy) This time in the studio STACK recorded all their previously unreleased material and some re-recorded songs from older records. All in all 17 minutes of the typical STACK mayhem with superbrutal sound! FastFastFastCore!!!!!! H.I.T: German brutal metal-hardcore like MÖRSER or CHEERLEDERS OF THE ACPOCOLYPSE, but sometimes goes a bit REVERSAL OF MAN. With female/male voices, but no one can hear the difference. |  |
FLOWER 9- DISKONTO – there is no tomorrow LP One of the best sweden crust-hardcore bands ever, in the vein of MOB 47 or something else. The new songs go a bit more old school HC early´85. |  |
FLOWER 8- PHILLIPPÉ – the essence in numbers CD / LP These were the last recordings before they splited up. It´s a bit more rock than on the 7″es, but still good! This is the official cd-version of the LP on Hombre-Lobo-Rec. There is a remix of a song which has been only in org. on the cd (not on the vinyl). Also there are two extra songs that should have been on tape-compilations and 3 extra songs from the recording-session for the 7″ and split 7″, that haven’t been released so far. |  |
FLOWER 7- PRONE 10″ Three members/ex-member of Stack. All three do vocals and it’s a mix of the best punk and metalriffs you ever heard. Sometimes influenced by Discordance Axis and sometimes by Seein Red or bands like that. But they also try to add their own new ideas and a lot of noisy parts. Can´t say more than I think it’s the most brutal band on earth!!!!! |  |

FLOWER 4- DIAVOLO ROSSO / Y split 7″ That Diavolo Rosso songs are much faster than the songs from the 7″ and the demo. Now with only one guitar and with the drummer of Stack. Sometimes it sounds like the crustparts of Dropdead with the voice of Deformed Conscience. Y- is so fucking great on that 7″. The sound is the best they ever had (same studio like Mörser/Systral/Carol/…..), and the drums like a machine with so many crazy break and ideas. Sometimes it reminds of Spazz, but with more brutal sound. |  |
FLOWER 3- UNIVERSAL / PHILLIPPÉ split 7″ That´s the best Phillippé songs ever – at least in my mind. The bass-sound is so brutal in a ratio of the DC-sound of the rest, but it´s really cool. The Universal stuff is from the same session as the 7″ – please look up the review for deteails. |  |
FLOWER 2- CHOREA / ASMODINAS LEICHENHAUS split 7″ This record is the product of a friendship by two bands, who like the same kind of music – crust, grind with screamed vocals. I think you know both bands from their 7″es, but this split is much better in sound and the songs have way more rawness than the older stuff. It comes with a handmade cover and 2 booklets and sticker. |  |
FLOWER 1- PHILLIPPÉ – Misameé 7″ This band from Germany really makes the sound of DC´86, influenced by bands like Rites of Spring,……… Comes with an arty cover and and nice booklet. |  |
